Travel Day.... Ehhhh

Today, was the long 10 hour flight to Korea and then a 1 hour flight to Beijing. I feel cheated out of day! I woke up at 4:15 AM on Saturday morning June 18th to go to the airport, when I got off the flight from Honolulu to Seoul it was June 19th, 3:00 PM. I didn't have any problems with the flight, in fact the plane was pretty empty and I got a 2 seater row to myself. They had these nice pig screens for each person and a million movies to choose from. The 10 hours literally flew by. We are currently waiting for our next flight to Beijing and the Seoul airport is one of the nicest airports I have seen. When you go into the bathrooms there is an etiquette bell, and you push a button to reline to toilet seat... interesting... Anyway, I feel pretty good about keeping this updated hopefully I can keep it up!!

Last day in Maui :(

Unfortunately, we didn't have the best weather and it rained and was cloudy for the whole entire day. We hung out played cards, still went swimming, went to the hot tub, and watched the US Open. It was a nice relaxing last day and we finished it off with going to Lahina. The boys all got black rock shirts for jumping off and I really wanted one, but I didn't jump off (probably a good thing) ;)... Aaron finally got to see one of the biggest trees ever...The Banyan tree. The tree was imported from India and was only 8 feet tall. It now stands over 60 feet high, has 12 major trunks in addition to a huge core. It stretches over a 200-foot area and shades 2/3 of an acre. Lets just say it's massive. It was fun to walk around and just admire the splendor of Lahina. We can't wait to come back, hopefully next time there are some waves for Aaron :)

Day 7 - Banana Bread Stand/ Mama's Fish House

We walked around in Lahina, saw this little stand and got some lunch. When I go somewhere to eat, I ask what they like and what they are known for. 99% of the time I will get what they are known for or whatever the owner/cooks favorite is. I mean why go to a place to eat that's known for burgers and then get pasta. So we got a pork dish and the loco moco plate. We then drove to this banana bread hut, that my dad could remember vividly where it was, but he claimed it was some of the best banana bread he has ever eaten. It's roughly 12.5 miles from the plantation course in Kapalua. It's called Julia's Best Banana Bread she has a facebook now and a website! It's a fun little drive and at times is dangerous. They really do have some dang good bread, so I would recommend this if you can go. We also went to a place for dinner called Mama's Fish House! It has been open for about 40 years now, and everything on the menu has been caught fresh. So fresh that the menus are reprinted everyday depending on what is caught. Mama's was delicious and we all loved our food and really had a nice dinner. Thanks for the awesome dinner!!! :)

Day 6 - Lana'i :)

Today we went to Lana'i. We woke up early to take the first boat over and it wasn't too bad. I didn't get sick and no one threw up so it was a pretty successful sail over. We went over to play The Challenge course at Manele. It was as Cameron puts it, and Arizona course along the ocean. It was beautiful, rugged, and perfect temperature. We had a a lot of fun and enjoyed playing with 6 people in our group!! hah! We didn't hold anyone back and we kept up with the group in front of us. My brothers Gideon and Maverick lost 36 balls in the first round between the two of them! hhaha... I'm happy to say I didn't lose one ball the whole round. They are so funny to play with! Maverick though birdied the hardest hole on the golf course that was a 200 yard par 3 over the ocean (see picture below). We all had a lot of fun! Thanks dad!! :) Aaron, Maverick, and I then headed back over the resort to just hang out at the pool, play cards, and hang out while Gideon, Cameron, Chanel, and my dad played a second round. We took the the last boat back and boy did we go over some huge waves that made your stomach drop!! We had fun standing along the bar and some of us getting wet.

Day 5 - Fun

A day of beach, pool, snorkeling, football, and BBQ chicken (note to self, don't get 2 days behind... I can't remember that far back!) We went snorkeling and walked over to black rock and the boys jumped off, Aaron of course has to jump off at the highest point and make me nervous!! As we were waiting at the top while they were trying to prepare themselves for jumping off we saw a HUGE turtle, I mean massive! It was pretty sweet. The boys played football, some of them got hurt by that's typical.

Day 4 - Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary sweetie :) We hit 2 years and we both can't believe how fast it has gone by. Some say the hardest is the first 2 years, for us it was hard because we were apart from each other for 9 months. We have learned a lot, and it definetly takes two. I love you babe, you're so good to me, you're the best!

Burned...We hung out at the beach and pool today, but not before Chanel, Cameron, and Dad did a P90X Ab workout(hahah). I put sun block on everywhere and I have no idea how I got burned. I got burned just on the front lower part of my legs which is the weirdest place I think to get sunburned but the best place... Anyway, we went out to the beach and it was beautiful and the water was so warm! We tried taking some underwater pictures, but will see later how they turn out. We got Pina Coladassss... yummmm... played some football, and went down some slides. We BBQ chicken and had a great dinner. Went to Whalers Village and walked around and got some ice cream :) We ended the night playing Mafia in the living room... we played tell midnight, yelling at one another... haha but it was so much fun!

Zack had to put a bowl in front of his face, so everyone wouldn't see his sly smirk (hah)
